Cage System

The Optical cage system is a family of components that allows optical systems to be built using a rigid, easy to assemble framework. It is designed for modularity with components to be purchased individually to meet different application’s requirements. These highly adaptable components make easy for system alignment, reducing setup time while increasing portability.

There are 2 sizes available, the P16 (16mm pitch between the rods) for 1/2 inch (12.7mmm) optics and the P30 (30mm pitch between the rods) for 1 inch (25.4mm) optics.
A variety of holders for mounting mirrors, lenses, polarisers, beamsplitter cubes and C-mount cameras are available to be chosen.

It is an optical system configuration tool that can incorporate various optical elements into 3 (or 4) long rods placed around it. 3-dimensional optical system arrangement is possible by using a mirror holder to joint with the rod.

What is a Optical cage system?

Optical cage system is different from normal optical system, which build on optical experiment table.
(Its reference is optical experiment table.)

The cage system is build on four rods.(Its reference is optical axis.)

How to fix side-in type holder plate

① Rotate the holder plate using the rod as a fulcrum. (An arrow on the holder plate indicates the fulcrum)
② Make sure that the two rods fit into the end of the slot on the holder plate.
  By tightening the set screws, the holder plate is fixed to the rod (cage).
③ By attaching the fourth rod, it will be able to slide the holder plate along the rod without coming off.
